I Am
I am a mother and yet still a child
I wonder what the world will bring my children
I hear their laughter echoing through the air
I see smiles and pictures to be captured everywhere
I want to touch a life every day
I am a mother and yet a child
I pretend I can sing and dance
I feel love from a simple touch
I touch another’s hand
I worry that ...I waste too much time worrying
I cry about some bad decisions and some lost souls
I am a mother and yet a child
I understand that life is precious
I say let it take your breath away
I dream about what the future will hold for us
I try to leave the planning to Someone Else
I hope for a good day EVERY day
