Wordy Wednesday!!

Well, I finally am back to normal. Is that good or bad? I am eating normally and feel great. I have spring fever and have been cleaning and cleaning OUT! Isn't there a rule that for every pair of shoes you throw out, you get to buy 2?? I had a major closet cleaning - just in time to hit Macy's today. I only bought 1 t-shirt, 1 top and 1 pair of really cute jean shorts......No shoes. Yet. Flirty spring dresses were everywhere. I have my eye on one for BonJovi. I will go back alone so I can try some on. I took Baby girl with me shopping to the Galleria and, bless her heart, she couldn't even fall asleep last night for the anticipation ! She calls it the Playhouse Disney Mall since there is a Disney Store. Only, she opted not to go there, but instead conned me into Build-a -Bear Worshop. She had never done it and always eagerly looks at the store next to Disney. Since she has been so nice, I let her. She choose a sparkly pink limited edition bear and named it aptly SPARKLES. S...

Update on Crowe Donation

Image
I had sent out an email to all my family and friends across the nation - an act that took me literally 5 minutes- regarding the Jeff Crowe family's need. I had said that if each child could raise $100- then what a blessing that would be! God can take a small act and turn our small hopes into so much more.... My son assisted me in writing the email and within a week, he collected $1005.00 to turn in tomorrow. He is so proud to be helping a classmate. His concern touched me so much and my family's response touched me even more. I thank my wonderful family and friends for helping me teach my son how to Love and Give. Isn't God Great! The school total was almost $23,000 so far !

Chance for a Cure Fundraiser

Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. Phil 2:3-4 Chance for a Cure in China We have had so many fundraisers at my son's school that I have not even tried to do any of them after the walkathon- which we donated a TON for. No cookies, coupon books- nothing. But today his school sent home a Service Project- A teacher at his school's 35 year old husband has a rare disease- Spinocerebellar Ataxia (SCA). He is already losing his ability to walk and talk. The school is helping them to raise part of the $40,000 that is needed for his treatment expenses, which he must travel to CHINA to get. I did a little research and found that a scientist has had success in reversing some of the effects with fruit fly DNA! This treatment may help him regain his motor skills and has helped many others in the past. There is n...
