My First Art Class and New Friends

I had a wonderful time today at my first art class.
Trying something new and meeting new, very FUN friends is always a terriffic way to spend the afternoon. Throw in snacks and an Apple Martini and it can't get much better.

There is a reason this is my first art class, painfully obvious from my creation. I am creative- just not in an artistic/painty way. My creative talent starts and ends with a camera and computer. Oh well, I knew the instructor was trying to be nice, but also knew enought to catch her drift when she said my tree had a Picasso feel to it.
NONETHELESS, it is hanging in my kitchen (well, really laundry room hallway)
to remind me that trying new things is good for the mind,
meeting new friends is good for the heart
and laughing is good for the soul!

There is an expression in my family, "A good time was had by all!". SO glad you came Charnita and braved it. You're a good sport! Great painting!

I thought that was leigh in the photo - let me know next time y'all are going ... I recognize that painting ... I think my best friend was in that class that night .... I've only been once but would love to go more .....
